If you read my post in Cricket/Bowling on how good is your dead aim it will outline the methodology of helping to build laser-like focus for bowlers.
But the effects of good practice are cumulative - and therein lie the triggers to effect laser-like focus not just when players bowl, but also field and bat. In essence it is focussed concentration. Focussing the visual sense to provide more necessary and correct information that will allow the physical technique to produce best-possible outcomes. The better the quality of information, the better the outcomes.
I have worked this method through with well over 20 players already and in every case the improvement in accuracy has been considerable. It works for all types of bowlers too - and works if the line is altered for left handers, or if they choose to pitch the ball fuller or shorter.

The key to the best outcomes is that the players dissociate as much as possible from other sensual input. This starts with clearing distractions, including errant thought patterns, and also requires they allow their physical technique to perform autonomically.

If you are going to try this method I strongly advise you instruct on a 1-to-1 basis. This way you will gain the player's FULL attention during the explanation stage, plus you will be able to keep reminding them of what they need to do on a ball-by-ball basis. Essentially you will be their guide to good focus-pulling in the early stages. Once they realise what a portable and adaptable skill this is, then you will have broken down probably the biggest barrier to their progress in sport - the ability to concentrate!

Any queries or advice then contact me.
